2012

August

• MCDrugs is Born.
  • MCDrugs was created to be a roleplay server where you survive as a drug grower and seller, growing your drugs in a base/farm and then selling them in Spawn!

October 5th

• The News
  • The first episode of MCDrugs News is uploaded.

October 11th

• MCDrugs Trailer
  • The original MCDrugs trailer is uploaded (music has since been removed due to copyright)

2013

June 5th

• That's the sound of da police!
  • Police applications open, and players can now apply to play as a police officer to try to stop the illegal trafficking of drugs through the server!

2014

May 2nd

• Demo(tion)lition
  • Rasta_Lance and Stoof are demoted from Admin, resulting in the removal of their Spawn statues.

November 28th

• A New Enjin
  • MCDrugs begins using an upated Enjin Forums platform for all of the forum needs.

2015

March 10th

• Parkour!
  • Parkour is added to the server with varying difficulties.

December

• Max, First Max
  • Pinko45 is the first player to complete the rank progression to become a Maxed Player

2016

April 24th

• Enjin Swap
  • Issues with the Enjin Forums caused a shift to a new forum using Xenforo to handle the Website/Forum needs.

May 6th

• 2016 Reset
  • The 2016 map reset is announced, along with a preview of the new spawn.

May 13th

2016 map reset.

May 22nd/23rd

• No Narcan Available
  • The ability to do drugs is added, as well as a vape store offering vapes that could be used to create cloud particle effects.

June 20th

The first weekly building contest begins.

July 6th

• Casino Expansion
  • A major casino update introduces the first version of the Jackpot gambling game, as well as improvements to Coinflip.

July 10th

• New Drugs!
  • With the addition of 6 new drug items, chorus fruit officially becomes a drug.

August 7th

• Time to get Creative!
  • The creative world is launched.

December 10th

Drug Price Boosters and the Holiday Gift Exchange are introduced in the 2016 Holiday Content Update.

2017

January 1st

The Mastery system is introduced.

March 12th

Custom Enchantment Runes are added, a feature that was available until the 2017 map.

May 12th

2017 map reset.

May 14th

• The Battle of the Salt
  • A Large-scale raid was attempted on faction HoldThisSalt by factions KingsOfTheNorth and USSR. The battles lasted about an hour, ending in the failed attempt to cannon in by KoTN

June 3rd

"Saltbowl", a much-anticipated 1v1 between two of the top PvPers (and trash-talkers) on the server at the time, Zhihu and SaltyKen, ends in a surprising 16 seconds. The PvP meta at this time was mending/XP bottles, where fights would often last for many minutes.

  • DaddyPS promoted to Admin after completing their trial phase.

June 15th

The KitPvP server is launched.

August 26th

  • NoodlyAppendage promoted to Admin after completing their trial phase.

August 28th

Chat Tags are first introduced to the server.

October 30th

• Promotion
  • GotEdit promoted to Admin after completing their trial phase.

November 4th

The first iteration of Drug Pass is launched.

November 27th

A testing period for the first iteration of Drug Muling begins.

2018

January 7th

• Armageddon
  • A TrialAdmin by the name of Kidcar33, while testing commands he has access to, accidently nukes the active players causing widespread destruction throughout the server.

• Enter the Maze
  • The first iteration of The Maze is introduced. Since then, it has become a yearly tradition for a new Maze.

June 30th

GoodChum and Maltri are married, featured in the "Cringy Minecraft Wedding" video

2019

May

• One BILLION Dollars
  • A player by the name of GlucoseDaddy is the first to obtain $1b in the Reset Fund held every year.

September 15th

• Re-Promotion
  • CSDrago re-promoted to Admin.

December 15th

• Promotion
  • Killah121 promoted to Admin after completing trial phase.

December 28th

• Promotion
  • Goodchum_ promoted to Admin after completing their trial phase.

2020

January 19th

• Promotion
  • NovaSeepa promoted to Admin after completing trial phase.

July

• FarmA TPS Fixed
  • A player by the name of Galaktias has a large mushroom farm get raided, subsequently causing the TPS in FarmA to return to a normal range.

July 7th

• Is this server ILLEGAL??
  • A YouTuber by the name of TommyInnit joins MCDrugs and interacts with the community - and his following was quick to join thereafter.

September

• The French Invasion
  • A French YouTuber by the name of Fuze III joined the server to talk about what the server had to offer. Subsequently, it brought along a wave of primarily French speaking players that proceeded to spam the chat and cause headaches for the Staff Team.

October

• Promotion
  • parcheesi15 promoted to Admin after completing their trial phase.

2021

August 2nd

• Backdoor Attack
  • Several players gained access to OP level permissions and used it maliciously to attack the server, deleting Spawn, setting everyone online player balance to $1,000,000,000, destroying areas that players were in, and deleting server files.
    • This attack was one of the worst seen in the history of the server, and caused significant server downtime.

September 4th

• Again?
  • Players from previous attack join again in an attempt to attack the server. Attack was caught early and damages done were quickly reverted.

September 5th

• Promotion
  • Willifolts promoted to Admin after completing trial phase.
  • Kidcar33 promoted to Admin after completing trial phase.

November 23rd

• DT Spam Attack
  • A YouTuber by the name of DuperTrooper came on the server while live streaming and claimed the server was Pay to Win and had his followers join the server to spam the chat and dump as many items as they could in Spawn.

2022

February 2nd

• Promotion
  • n3on_n3rd promoted to Admin after completing their trial phase.

March 22nd

• Promotions
  • MissPatient promoted to Admin after completing their trial phase.
  • Lurrn (Lurnn) promoted to Admin after completing their trial phase.

July 26th

• Christmas in July
  • A moderator by the name of Aubie2002 is testing commands that he has access to, and accidently starts the Holiday Event in July, hence dubbed Christmas in July.

September 27th

• Compliance Notification
  • Microsoft contacted MCDrugs Owner Dakotaa in reference of being out of compliance with Mojang's Brand Guidelines, Commercial Guidelines, and EULA, specifically for gambling, act of selling drugs, and that all servers, entitlements, and advertising must be suitable for children and minors. Dakotaa notified the community of the changes that would have to be made.

October 10th

• MCLabs is Born.
  • MCLabs was created to comply with the Compliance Notification the server received. The change can be referenced here.

November 3rd

• Lab Wars I
  • Lab Wars I began on this day and was a unique event that was designed to be a collaborative, team-based event where every player on the server is recruited, at random, by one of four labs. Lab Wars was a huge success among the players.

2023

January 22nd

• Lab Wars II
  • After the success of Lab Wars I, the Staff Team decided to make it a continuous series, thus Lab Wars II began, with some minor improvements to the mechanics.

April 8th

• Promotions
  • Aubie2002 and Kamoh0alii were both promoted to Admin after completing their trial phase.

May 5th

• The Next Era
  • May 5th marked the first reset since the change from MCDrugs to MCLabs.
  • Towny is introduced as a new server playstyle.
  • FarmA, FarmM, and Wild are removed.
