Economy

The MCLabs gameplay is highly economy-based. The server is focused around growing and selling chems, and using the money to progress through ranks and build new farms and bases. Below you will find the way that the economy is set up along with a multitude of miscellaneous ways to make extra money.

How to Make Money

Chem Path

Farming Chems

Farming chems is the best way to make money on MCLabs. You can view the items that are considered chems using /chems, along with prices for the various chemss in the same menu. When you have decided which chems you would like to farm (find a ratio that you like of the amount of time a crop takes to farm in ratio with the value of the chem on /chems), you can begin by building a farm for that crop and harvesting it to obtain more chems.

Tip: The growth rates of chems are boosted in Companies with company upgrades (/underworld),

Selling Chems

Once you have chems, you need to successfully sell them in order to make money. To get to the main dealer, follow the redstone trail at spawn. There are also various other dealers that you can sell to for boosted percentages (/dealers in game). Prestige to unlock a higher selling point (Ranks for more information). You can also find the Traveling Dealer (view /compass in game to see where they will pop up next!), who moves around spawn for a 20% boost, or take the risk and sell at Prison for 20% boosted rates - however, be careful... PVP is enabled and someone may kill you and take your chems!

Tip: After finding the location of the dealers initially, try to find various paths aside from the redstone trail that lead to them. There are many hidden paths, and this well help avoid the cops frisking you and taking your chems!

Cop Path

Cop Summary

The Cop path on MCLabs involves a different approach of "keeping the streets clean", where you can chase and frisk players that are trying to sell their chems (/warp police). After obtaining the Smuggler rank, players are able to enroll into the Police force (/police enroll). Cops have a completely different set of ranks (/copranks), and get to work through them by catching other players and selling the confiscated chems.

Jobs

Jobs are a great way to earn passive income. You can make money while mining, exploring, woodcutting, fishing, etc.

Tip: It's always a good idea to be in a job while doing other activities. For example, if you're mining out a farm, join the Quarrier job (/jobs join quarrier).

View the available jobs with /jobs browse, and join a job with /jobs join <job name>.

Miscellaneous Methods

Voting

Voting is the easiest way to make money on MCLabs. You can vote for the server every day by doing /vote, or by going directly to the voting page, and voting on each link.

Voting doesn't only earn you money, but also Vote Tokens, Voter Crate Keys, Creeper Eggs, and more! Vote Tokens are a form of currency that can be used in /vshop.

Along with the rewards for each vote, the top five voters each week and each month earn huge cash rewards. Be sure to vote every day to become a top voter. There's also rewards for hitting voting milestones, which grant even more money, and some cosmetic chat tags. You can view all the rewards from voting with /vrewards.

Parkour

Earn money for completing parkour courses in the Parkour world. Get there with /parkour. The rewards refresh every day, so you can keep completing courses for money.

Mini Events

There will be 4 mini-events per day at random, but will always be on the start of a new hour. There will be a notification in-game 10 minutes before an event. The players with the most score at the end of the event will win prizes, including store credit, keys, booster fragments, money, and Event Points. Check out the Mini Events page for more information.
