Credits

Credit for information mostly goes to MassProducer for his diligence in finding relevant information to include in this timeline. The majority of the information in this timeline is discovered from website history and Discord logs.

2012

August

• MCDrugs is Born.
  • MCDrugs was created to be a roleplay server where you survive as a drug grower and seller, growing your drugs in a base/farm and then selling them in Spawn!

2013

June 5th

• That's the sound of da police!
  • Police applications open, and players can now apply to play as a police officer to try to stop the illegal trafficking of drugs through the server!

2014

November 28th

• A New Enjin
  • MCDrugs begins using an upated Enjin Forums platform for all of the forum needs.

2016

April 24th

• Enjin Swap
  • Issues with the Enjin Forums caused a shift to a new forum using Xenforo to handle the Website/Forum needs.

2017

May 14th

• The Battle of the Salt*
  • A Large-scale raid was attempted on faction HoldThisSalt by factions KingsOfTheNorth and USSR. The battles lasted about an hour, ending in the failed attempt to cannon in by KoTN

2018

January 7th

• Armageddon
  • A TrialAdmin by the name of Kidcar33, while testing commands he has access to, accidently nukes the active players causing widespread destruction throughout the server.

2019

May

• One BILLION Dollars
  • A player by the name of GlucoseDaddy is the first to obtain $1b in the Reset Fund held every year.

2020

July

• FarmA TPS Fixed
  • A player by the name of Galaktias has a large mushroom farm get raided, subsequently causing the TPS in FarmA to return to a normal range.

July 7th

• Is this server ILLEGAL??
  • A YouTuber by the name of TommyInnit joins MCDrugs and interacts with the community - and his following was quick to join thereafter.

September

• The French Invasion
  • A French YouTuber by the name of Fuze III joined the server to talk about what the server had to offer. Subsequently, it brought along a wave of primarily French speaking players that proceeded to spam the chat and cause headaches for the Staff Team.

2021

November 23rd

• DT Spam Attack
  • A YouTuber by the name of DuperTrooper came on the server while live streaming and claimed the server was Pay to Win and had his followers join the server to spam the chat and dump as many items as they could in Spawn.

2022

July 26th

• Christmas in July
  • A moderator by the name of Aubie2002 is testing commands that he has access to, and accidently starts the Holiday Event in July, hence dubbed Christmas in July.

September 27th

• Compliance Notification
  • Microsoft contacted MCDrugs Owner Dakotaa in reference of being out of compliance with Mojang's Brand Guidelines, Commercial Guidelines, and EULA, specifically for gambling, act of selling drugs, and that all servers, entitlements, and advertising must be suitable for children and minors. Dakotaa notified the community of the changes that would have to be made.

October 10th

• MCLabs is Born.
  • MCLabs was created to comply with the Compliance Notification the server received. The change can be referenced here.

November 3rd

• Lab Wars I
  • Lab Wars I began on this day and was a unique event that was designed to be a collaborative, team-based event where every player on the server is recruited, at random, by one of four labs. Lab Wars was a huge success among the players.

2023

January 22nd

• Lab Wars II
  • After the success of Lab Wars I, the Staff Team decided to make it a continuous series, thus Lab Wars II began, with some minor improvements to the mechanics.
