I am using this hollow rotary actuator(OYOSTEPPER) inside a vacuum chamber, with the hollow bore positioned along the optical inspection path.
After a period of operation, the vacuum level drops, mass spectrometry detects an increase in the partial pressure of hydrocarbons, and oil mist condenses on the downstream lenses.
Upon disassembling the actuator, I discovered that the internal grease slowly migrates along the walls of the hollow bore due to the vacuum and rising temperatures, eventually volatilizing. Even after switching to vacuum-grade grease, the migration persists.
I would like to ask for advice on how to handle lubrication for hollow actuators in a vacuum environment. Are there any solutions involving solid lubrication or all-ceramic bearings?
