Why do you think you were banned? It said i was xraying presents

What is your explanation for your actions? Why should you be unbanned? I use the xaeros mini map mod and it shows where there is paths within solid blocks on the mini map, I just go around and look at paths and was finding presents. I can screenshare if you want? I asked if mini map was allowed a week back and someone said yes and made a joke about you being shunned to help you with presents. I make waypoints for every one i find. I will wait out the ban but i do not have xray. I can uninstall the mini map?

What measures will you take to prevent this from happening again? Uninstall my mini map

How can you ensure we can trust you again? I will not look for any more presents i just want to play ;-;

Can you explain how you knew this present was here? It's in a 1x1 hole in the ground, with nothing leading to it.

I did not know there was a present there i just saw one little block on the mini map and was shown a couple days ago where there was presents hiding in snow you can walk/ fall through. I walked around the area to see if there was any snow i could fall through around the mini map and then moved on because i didnt find any ;-; ive been walking around the snow and doing that for hours

There was no such snow there, though, because that wasn't a real present that was accessible - it was one we placed to test if you would go and look at/around it to try to get to it. There was zero indication that there was a present there.

If you're actually using a minimap that allowed you to see this present, then that's also against the rules, and functionally equivalent to xray in that it's allowing you to see underground presents.

I didnt see an actual present it was just one block that wasn't solid on my map. I will uninstall the map and see yall in 7 days I guess ;-;

Then it's still functionally xray because it's showing you underground blocks/holes.

Also convenient that you ignored all these nearby holes and only focused on the one (tiny) hole that had a present.

Thats okay, I cant really do anything to prove otherwise. I will uninstall the map its a common one thats used, I thought it was allowed because i asked and it doesnt actually show anything other than where theres solid blocks, which there are thousands of in spawn. I will take the L and uninstall it and not use it anymore.

Update: I have read through the forums of the client I use and I was not aware that was not typical for minimaps and I do see how that would give me an unfair advantage. It has an integrated mini map mod that highlights blocks on the map that have a chest/ player head/ amethyst crystal/ spawner, etc underneath to aid in finding things while playing regular minecraft. I genuinely thought it was normal for mini maps because I have only ever used this one client. Due to my stupidity I understand the ban. When I asked if they were allowed I genuinely was trying to not break the rules and people including moderators said yes. I didn't think it was an issue because there is so many fun chests and miscellaneous blocks in spawn that it wasn't just a direct shot to presents and 99% of the time it lead me to nothing. I have uninstalled the client and will use Badlion from now on after testing the mini map on a personal world to make sure it doesn't do that. I apologize for being a little dumb in the minecraft world and not knowing. I understand if my 7 day ban sticks but if you're feeling like giving me any grace please let me back ;-; Take away my present hunt permission and I will give back any items that I gained from the milestone prizes. I sowee you guys ily

I would also like to add that I was present hunting for like 4-5 days straight after work ;-; many many hours. If I had X-ray I’d probably be zooming to 500 presents in no time. It was still taking me considerably long to find presents that weren’t blatantly obvious and even had other players helping me find hard ones. This is how I learned about snow you could walk through and the swimming mechanic through small cracks in water you cant normally swim through without double clicking. I understand how it looked bad now that I’m aware that the mini map was not intended for a server like this but as I said there’s thousands of miscellaneous blocks in spawn that it would ping on the map and it was like 1/20 times a present. I still had to actually find it myself. But I do understand now that that’s not normal and won’t use it again. I am so bored MCLABS is love MCLABS is life. I had zero intentions of breaking the rules. I am just very new to all things current Minecraft as I haven’t played since 2018. My boyfriend has to download everything on my computer for me because I literally am challenged with all things technology. I was just having fun finding silly little presents I had no malicious intent. Thank yall for your time :-: I had to say my peace

Not sure if it's kosher for non-staff to reply to these but just want to help clear things up for you about rules on minimaps. You can have a map mod but it cannot offer you more info than standard vanilla mapping mechanics can offer. No entity radar, no cave mapping, no tracing overlays, no breadcrumbs for other players or entities, no identifying wether blocks are transparent, no automatic chunk updating you need to have it set to where it updates only if you revisit the chunk. Basically it needs to only show topographical info like a plat map. Waypoints are fine but using coords provided by other players to mark presents you haven't found is in the grey so you'll need to clear that up with an admin or mod cause I'm not an authority on that kind of call.
