Why do you think you were banned? I was banned for implying that another player might be a pedophile in the Discord chat, which is a very serious accusation and inappropriate to bring up in the community.
What is your explanation for your actions? Why should you be unbanned? At the time, i had not been active on the server for about 1–2 months, so i was not fully aware of the current community expectations or how strictly certain topics were moderated. Another user (ALostPaperBag) told me to call someone a pedophile. I did not directly call the person that, but i did tell others to be careful around them based on what i was told.
Looking back, i understand that even implying something like this is harmful and inappropriate, without proof. I should not have acted on unverified claims, especially something as serious as that.
I should be unbanned because this was a one-time mistake, i had a fairly clean record prior to this, and there was no malicious intent behind my actions. I was not trying to harass or defame anyone as i thought it was only meant as a harmless joke, but i recognize that my actions still caused harm.
What measures will you take to prevent this from happening again? Moving forward, I will be on my best behavior and will not spread misinformation
How can you ensure we can trust you again? My chat behavior was good in the past (except for the times when saying the n- word as a joke and without purpose or ill intent)
What else would you like to say to the admins reviewing your appeal? I'm sorry for what i'd done, and for any discomfort or issues it may have caused. I understand why this was taken seriously and I take responsibility for my mistake.
Obviously i should have known better not to write what i did, and i was not dedicating much time to the server at that point so i was not as careful as i should have been. I understand the reason for the ban without warning, but i truly regret my actions and want to get back into playing the server with my friends, with better behavior this time
