The 2026 Season is here! This post will be a quick overview of some of the big changes. For more details, check out the season changelog.
The new map will open at 7PM EST (when this post is two hours old).
Before getting into the changes, I'd like to thank everyone who helped out with everything that went into the new map. Planning, building, and testing the new map and all the major changes took hundreds of hours, and it couldn't have been done without lots of help!
Server Version and New Spawn
The new season is on Minecraft 1.21.11. You can still join on 1.21.5 and higher versions, but we strongly recommend you use at least 1.21.11 for the best experience. This year, Hrby and others have put countless hours into building an entirely original spawn. It has everything from dense city buildings, to suburbs and industrial areas, to rural farmland and islands. This one is by far our most detailed spawn yet, and we hope you'll enjoy exploring it. To motivate exploration, we've added a new Treasure Hunt mechanic, with each treasure hunt taking you through a series of clues around Spawn, leading to the final treasure location. You can start each treasure hunt in the basement of the Spawn library.
Major Changes
Here's some quick bullet points on the biggest changes this season (and towards the end of last season) that you should be aware of:- Added the Raid World, where companies can create an additional base (optionally with farms) to unlock Raid Points for powerful company upgrades. Company presence in the Raid World is now required to purify chems - you can no longer purify chems through your personal chem lab. Read more about the Raid World here.
- Added the company chemtainer, a shared chemtainer for the whole company. You can increase the capacity and passively craft compounds from the chemtainer using company upgrades.
- Automatic chems in the Underworlds and Raid World now harvest themselves - no need for harvesters or clocks. They go directly into your company chemainter.
- Added company tasks (/c tasks) to help companies assign and track work.
- Added cop threat bonus - when cops are on duty and active, all dealer rates increase (by up to 0.25x, to a maximum of 1.6x overall)
- Improved dealer rate changes - rates should no longer stagnate at minimum or maximum.
Worlds
The Overworld
Everything in the Overworld should be working the same as last season. As promised, this world is carried over from last season. It was getting a bit crowded, so we've increased the world border by 2,500 blocks (making it 12,500 blocks in each direction) To keep things fair, the world has been "cleansed", which included:
- Clearing all stored items.
- Removing any entities that can hold items (item frames, chest minecarts, allays, foxes, etc.). Items frames with maps were kept.
- Removing all crops.
- Replacing farmland with coarse dirt, and sand/dirt beneath sugar cane and cactus with sandstone.
- Removing specific types of valuable blocks.
The Underworlds
The only big change we've made in the Underworld is to the composition - rather than the air gap being sandwiched in the middle of the world, it's now at the top of the world. All the layer depths are otherwise the same. This should make digging from the top down easier.Server Resource Pack
The official server resource pack has been updated. It contains hundreds of custom item textures, and no longer requires any mods - you can see all the textures on a vanilla client. We've added many new textures with this latest update, including visual indicators for chem purity.Download the pack to install manually here, or use /pack auto in-game to have it automatically enable when you join the server (make sure you have server resource packs enabled in your server list).
