Looking to expand your company and chem production? Want to sabotage the production of other companies? Make a base in the Raid World! Get there in-game with /raid.
Introduction and FAQ
The Raid World is an additional worlds on MClabs, which you can imagine as an extension of the Underworld. In the Raid World, companies can establish a Nexus Core that will generate Raid Points. Raid Points can be spent on powerful company upgrades in /c upgrades. Protect your core with walls, because other companies can attempt to raid it with a Siege Machine. You only need to protect the bottom 16 blocks of your base - everything above that is unraidable, and you can build whatever you'd like in that space.
We know this is a lot of information to take in at first, so here are some of the most frequently asked questions regarding the Raid World:
Why use the Raid World?
Establishing even just a small base in the Raid World can get you a few cheap company upgrades, which can greatly boost your chem production in the Underworld. You don't even need to have a farm in the Raid World, you can just have a few walls around your core and nothing else. That means upgrades from the Raid World can boost your Underworld farm without having to go back to the Raid World or keep a farm there.
Do I need to use the Raid World to progress?
In short - no, you can still progress through the ranks to Chem Lord and do Mastery without ever being in the Raid World.
In more detail - no, but it can help a lot in boosting your ability to produce chems and rank up faster. Even a simple Raid World base, which won't put a big target on your back, can generate Raid Points for useful upgrades. An active core in the Raid World will generate Raid Points passively, even if you're never in the Raid World.
That said, we do recommend establishing a core in the Raid World and setting up a few layers of walls (the low tier walls are quite cheap). The worst that can happen is you get raided and lose some Raid Points, leaving you no worse off than if you didn't made a Raid World base.
How do I make a Raid World base?
To start your base in the Raid World, first go an open spot (/rtp while in the Raid World) and set your Nexus Core chunk with /c nex core set.
This will establish a 9x9 chunk footprint for your Raid Base. See Making a Raid World Base to learn more about the chunks.
Make sure you place some walls in the wall chunks, to completely surround your core chunk. It's wise to first place a layer of walls right outside your core, and a layer at the edge of your wall chunks, and then cover them with a roof, so other companies can't see how many walls you have. Place walls as you can afford to get started, and place more later as you have the money.
How much of my core must be protected? You only need to protect the bottom 16 blocks of your core chunk. Siege machines cannot break above this, and other companies cannot access chests, break blocks, etc. anywhere in your Raid Base. So, at y=-44 and above, you can build whatever you'd like. Already have an Underworld farm? Your Raid World base can just be walls around your core and nothing else. You can still use the Raid Points generated to boost your Underworld chem production.
Note: The first time you create your nexus core with /c nex core set, a 5-day grace period begins. During this period, you cannot be raided and PvP is disabled in your claims. See how long remains in the grace period by hovering over the Raid World line in /c view.
How does raiding work? Will I be safe?
Raiding in the Raid World uses custom mechanics that are very simple to understand. To start a raid, spawn a Siege Machine outside another company's Raid World base. The machine acts like a battering ram, moving towards their core and breaking down any walls it encounters along the way. The defending company can kill the Siege Machine to end the siege, but the attackers can also PvP the defenders. If the Siege Machine reaches the core chunk, the core is broken. Once a Siege Machine enters your core, the raid ends. The raiders cannot damage your base further, and cannot access the area above your core/walls.
What happens if my Raid World base gets raided? When a core is broken by a siege, the following happens:
- The defending company loses half of their Raid Points. The attackers get 80% of this half (so raiding a company gets you 40% of their Raid Points)
- The attacking company gets all chem compounds from the defending company's lab inventory (NOT from their chemtainer, those are safe).
- The attacking company gets 50% of the purity elements from the defending company's lab.
Even with these losses, getting your base back up and running is easy - just patch the walls and re-activate your core with /c nex core activate.
Where can I learn more about walls and Siege Machines? To get an idea of how Siege Machines and walls work, you can play around with them for free in the Raid Sandbox (use /sandbox while in the Raid World).
I'm not good at PvP, will I just get raided instantly? In order to raid your core, another company must purchase a Siege Machine (and optionally upgrade it), and fuel it with Siege Fuel. This can make it expensive for big companies to go around raiding small companies. Since the main benefit of raiding is to take Raid Points, it can be overall unprofitable for large companies to raid smaller companies. If you keep your Raid Point balance to a minimum, it's less likely other companies will target your base. You can get rid of excess Raid Points by spending them on one-time purchases like the Upkeep Reduction and Company Leaderboard Boost upgrades.
Additionally, upon creating your nexus core, you get a 5-day grace period where no other company can start a siege on your base or PvP in your claims. You also get a daily shield period (being longer the fewer company members you have) which you can use to protect your base from sieges while you're offline.
Common Raid World Terms
Here are some quick definitions of Raid World terms:
- Company Nexus - The GUI encompassing your company upgrades, lab, and chemtainer.
- Access it with
/c nex.
- Access it with
- Company Lab - The virtual chem lab for your company, where you can auto-craft chem compounds (including purified ones) using chems from your company chemtainer.
- Access it with
/c lab.
- Access it with
- Company Upgrades - Perks, bonuses, and rate increases that you can purchase for your company in
/c upgradesusing Raid Points. - Nexus Core - This is the physical "core" chunk for your company in the Raid World.
- You can only have one core chunk. Create it by using
/c nex core setin the Raid World. - The bottom 16 blocks of your core chunk is what you must protect from other companies.
- You can only have one core chunk. Create it by using
- Raid Points - Currency used to purchase company upgrades and to start raids. See your balance in
/c nex.- They are generated daily while you have an active Nexus Core (use
/c nex raidpointsto see how many you'll get) - You can also earn them in the Nexus Mines and Gank and Goon Zone (via portals in the Raid World spawn)
- They are generated daily while you have an active Nexus Core (use
- Purity Elements - These are another currency, which are used for crafting purified chem compounds in your company lab (
/c lab).- These include "Emergy", "Flux", and "Essence".
- When you have a compound set in your company lab, the purity item (potion) below it in the lab GUI will display how much of each purity element is required to craft a batch.
- You can view your purity element balances in
/c ch. - Purity elements can be generated by spawners in the Raid World, and from the Nexus Mines and Gank and Goon Zone.
- Siege Fuel - The fuel for Siege Machines.
- Raid Points will buy you a Siege Machine and its upgrades, but in order for it to operate, you need to fill it with Siege Fuel.
- You can earn Siege Fuel from the Nexus Mines and in the Gank and Goon Zone.
- Gank and Goon Zone - This is a PvP arena style area of the Raid World that can be accessed via the portal the

Who Can Play
Anybody can play in the Raid World! Whether you are a solo player, a small group of friends, or a large company, there is a place for you! The design of the Raid World makes it impractical for companies to target opponents that are not of the same size or capabilities, enforcing the idea that anybody can succeed here. While some of the gameplay components involved are designed for more experienced players, everyone can find a benefit in establishing a legacy in the Raid World!
Raid Points
Raid Points are one of the main purposes of having a Raid World base. They are the only way to unlock the upgrades in /c upgrades. There are several ways to earn Raid Points, and a few places to spend them.
Earning Raid Points
There are a few ways to earn Raid Points:
- If your company has an active nexus core, you will generate Raid Points passively every day when company upkeep is collected, as long as your company was active that day (harvested or sold chems). The amount generated is affected by:
- The number of players in your company. Smaller companies earn a small boost to Raid Point generation.
- Your company's position on the company leaderboard. Higher-placed companies get a substantial boost.
- The time since your nexus core's last breach. The longer you go without being raided, the more Raid Points you generate.
- Rare ores in the Nexus Mines will drop Raid Points.
- Securing a Stockpile in the Gank and Goon Zone will yield Raid Points.
Stealing and Losing Raid Points
When your breach the core of another company, you get 40% of their total Raid Points (they lose 50% of their Raid Points, and you get 80% of that amount, so there's always some Raid Points lost in a breach).
If your company's core is breached, you will lose 50% of your total Raid Points. This may cause your total Raid Points to be fewer than your spent Raid Points, and you'll need to sell off upgrades until your available Raid Points are no longer negative.
Spending Raid Points
Raid Points are mainly used for company upgrades (/c upgrades). Upgrades can range from a few Raid Points to hundreds. Raid Points can also be spent on Siege Machines and their upgrades, and on base defenses.
Your company has two Raid Point balances: Total Raid Points and Spent Raid Points. If your company's spent points exceeds its total, the company will be frozen until this is corrected, either by earning more Raid Points or selling company upgrades. If your nexus core is breached, you lose 50% of your total Raid Point balance.
There are two ways Raid Points can be used:
- Temporary purchases: These Raid Points are taken from your available Raid Points, but not removed from your total Raid Point balance. This includes most company upgrades. More info below.
- One-time purchases: These Raid Points are taken from your total Raid Point balance permanently. This includes things like buying a Siege Machine, IEDs, and certain company upgrades.
Refunding Raid Points
When Raid Points are spent on temporary purchases, your company's spent Raid Points increases, and the company has fewer Raid Points available. These upgrades can be sold back to retrieve the Raid Point cost (with some loss) back into your available Raid Points. When a company's nexus core is breached and they lose half their Raid Points, it is usually necessary to sell some company upgrades to bring the available Raid Points out of the negatives.
Making a Raid World Base
To start your Raid World base, find an open spot in the Raid World (/rtp) and use /c nex core set. This will create the footprint of your base, and create your core (which will be inactive for now).
Base Layout
All Raid World bases have a 9x9 chunk footprint. Your Raid World base is composed of:
- Your core chunk in the middle (red 1x1)
- This is the chunk you need to defend from Siege Machines.
- Your walls chunks making up the next two layers of chunks (yellow 5x5)
- These chunks are for placing walls (get a wall generator from
/raidshop)
- These chunks are for placing walls (get a wall generator from
- Your buffer chunks making up the outer two chunk layers (green)
- Nobody can build in these chunks. They are left open as an area to spawn Siege Machines and PvP in.
Core Chunk
The core chunk is the center of your Raid World base, and is the target of Siege Machines. When another company spawns a Siege Machine in one of your buffer chunks, it will target the closest point in your core chunk.
You can build in your core chunk if you want to. Like the area above your core and walls, the core itself is safe some destruction or theft by other companies.
Your core chunk features a 16x16x16 glowing cube. The colour of this cube indicates the status of your core.
Base Walls
Walls are the primary defense of your core chunk. They can be built in the two layers of walls chunks surrounding your core, which means you can have, at most, 32 layers of walls (16 layers per chunk).
Walls must be generated using the Raid Wall Generator from /raidshop in the Raid World. It generates concrete blocks with custom data that protects against siege machines. If you use regular blocks in your wall chunks, they will offer no protection from a siege machine.
Raid Wall Generator
The Raid Wall Generator is a one-time purchased from /raidshop. It can be placed in your wall chunks to generate walls vertically. It will generate wall blocks upwards until it reaches y=-44. You can also enable Single Block Mode if you'd like to place just a single block at a time.
Play around with the Raid Wall Generator for free in the Raid Sandbox (/sandbox rtp from the Raid World)
Wall Prices
Every wall has a placement price, ranging from $50 to $50,000 per block. The Raid Wall Generator UI also shows the price of placing 16x of the wall.
Raid Gold can be used in place of money. If your company has any Raid Gold, it will always be used up before any money is used when generating walls. You can get Raid Gold from the Cycle Sector nexus mine (/mine tp Cycle).
Wall Health and Effects
The difference between wall types is in their health and effects.
Health: The more expensive the wall, the more HP it will have. This means siege machines will take more time and fuel to break through this wall.
Effects: Some walls (currently all walls in the second row of the UI) have special effects that happen when the wall is broken by a siege machine. The current effects are:
Blue Wall: When broken, grants speed to nearby company members and blindness to nearby enemies. Magenta Wall: When broken, summons a silverfish that attacks nearby enemies. Dark Green Wall: When broken, has a chance to slightly repair any walls touching this wall. Orange Wall: When broken, repairs any walls touching this wall. The amount of repair increases the more Raid Points the defending company has. Dark Gray Wall: When broken, creates an explosion that damages nearby enemies and siege machines.
Wall Tips
You'll quickly notice that the best walls are quite expensive. It's wise to use mostly cheap walls, and place a few of the best wall blocks (using single block mode) in strategic positions to slow down siege machines.
You should also make sure other companies can't see exactly what your wall setup is. To do so, place a roof above your walls and core, and create a layer of walls on the outermost edge of your wall chunks. This will hide your wall layers and require other companies to take more of risk when trying to raid you.
Buildable Area
Only the bottom 16 blocks of your core need to be defended. That means that above y=-44, you have a 5x5 chunk area (your core and wall chunks) to do with as you please. This is a good area to build farms and place spawners to generate purity elements.
Raid World Spawners
Many spawners in the Raid World will generate purity elements, which can be used in /c lab to create purified compounds.
Spawners drop both flux and essence. When a mob would normally spawn, flux is created. On each of these "spawns", there's a chance to create a Purity Artifact - a small glowing orb that disappears after a few seconds. If you click on the Artifact before it disappears, you'll get essence and flux.
- Value elements are created by spider, cave spider, and slime spawners.
- Progress elements are created by skeleton and magma cube spawners.
- Scorre elements are created by zombie and creeper spawners
Blaze Spawners instantly drop blaze rods and can be useful for generating fuel.
Spawners must be placed at least 5 blocks apart
Farms
You can freely build farms in this area. Farms in the Raid World work the same as the Underworld, with all the same auto-harvest mechanics for automatic farms. Just like in the Underworld, you can upgrade the growth rates of a chunk with /c chunk.
Raiding
You can raid another company's Raid World base by breaching their core using a Siege Machine.
